Taking off

This experience has been nothing short of excellent. I’ve stayed at the hostel in Varberg for four months now with new neighbors every day. I’ve truly met a lot of interesting people.

So between this and living with a hungarian family and then in the semi-slum quarters of Chicago, I’d say I’ve had a somewhat different year as far as living goes.

I’ve been here since early january and I have about one month to go before I move to Örebro. Trust me, it’s gonna feel kinda good to get out of here, but still – I would never want to have it undone. And I have bunk beds so if you wanna come on over and get the hostel vibe, just come…

I’ve also learned to be patient in a way I thought was not possible. My neighbor, Janko the Serb (we call him Janko Dones) helps me with that. He has lenghty monologues when I cook. Some days ago he talked about all the languages of the world. He tried to make a point (took him two hours) in saying that one person can never learn all the languages of the world because there are so many: “Russian, Croatian, Greek, Australia-language, what the Indians speak, Roman, Latin, Swedish, Norwegian, Hebrew, the arab-languages…”.

Now that I think of it I think I will leave Varberg this week.
